New Fire for Christ (NFC) is a global ministry dedicated to sharing the message of Jesus Christ in strategic nations around the world. Through evangelistic efforts, mass discipleship programs, and partnerships with local leaders, NFC focuses on reaching the lost and training disciples to multiply their faith. Their mission is to not only bring people to Christ but also to empower new believers to become lifelong disciples and disciple-makers, ensuring lasting impact and spiritual growth across nations.
To reach as many as possible for Christ through evangelism and discipleship.
We accomplish this mission through leading evangelistic and discipleship efforts, inviting people to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior, to discover His great plan for their lives, and to multiply by going and making more disciples for Christ.
Dr. Bob and Mallory Boyd founded New Fire for Christ in the 1990s in response to a growing wave of secularism impacting young people. Burdened by the reality that many around the world did not know Christ, they felt called to action—to ignite a passion for Jesus in the next generation. In the early years, they served through Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU), leading campus-wide revivals across the United States and calling students to a life transformed by the Gospel. As their ministry grew, international doors began to open. In 1993, shortly after the fall of the Iron Curtain, the Boyds led a city-wide outreach in Russia. In a time of newfound political freedom, many were searching for something deeper. As the Gospel was shared, nearly the entire crowd responded to the invitation to follow Christ, and new churches began to emerge.Over the years, New Fire for Christ has expanded into more than a dozen countries, including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Pakistan, India, and beyond. In Pakistan, large evangelistic campaigns have led thousands to Christ, with ongoing ministry through local churches and house-to-house outreach.A pivotal moment came in 2003 during a festival in Webuye, Kenya, where the Boyds recognized the urgent need to reach children—many of whom had been affected by the AIDS crisis. As students responded to the Gospel, it became clear that discipleship was essential. From this need, the “School of Discipleship” was born.Today, this program has grown to reach over 200,000 students in more than 220 schools across East Africa, led by 152 trained volunteers. Lives are being transformed both spiritually and practically, as students grow in faith, education improves, and communities are impacted. What began as a burden has become a global movement—one that continues to bring the hope of Christ to the next generation.
